Organic Nettle Placemat and Napkin Set
|
Natural & Dye-Free - Imagine you're eating dinner and someone drops a piece of macaroni onto their placemat. They pick it up and put it back on their plate. It's no big deal - until you think about what makes up many commercial placemats. Did they use toxin-free dyes? Is the plastic a renewable resource? Do you want bits of your dinner picking up less-than-organic dust bunnies? Re-purposing Plain Old Weeds - The stinging nettle plant, a wild grass in rural Nepal, is a sustainable, renewable resource. Nettle is silkier than hemp, but equally sturdy. By binding these place mats in hand-woven cotton, rural Nepali artisans have created an organic product for modern tables. Each placemat measures 18.5’’ by 13’’ and comes with a lime green napkin. Support Impoverished Nepalis - Proceeds from the sale of these products goes to support a non-profit organization focused on providing primary care and community education to thousands of rural Nepalis. This initiative also provides valuable education about non-biodegradable “trash” and the importance of protecting the environment. A favorite Nepal Non-Profit. ![]() ![]() |
