Clean up the Earth - Instead of dumping garbage into landfills, rural Nepali women collect discarded chip bags, bottled water packaging, and cookie cases. After thoroughly cleaning the plastic, they slice it into strips and wind these strips around wild grasses called saru. By tying these recycled "straws" together with twine, they're able to mold trays, stools, and bowls. Good for people and the planet. Stool is 11’’ tall.

Choose Durable Goods - This stool is not made of flimsy paper or snap-able pencils. Use it as a kitchen step-stool for those hard-to-reach cupboards, or prop your feet up on it during a movie. The brightly colored plastic makes a bold pop! in a kids' bedroom. Each stool is bound at the bottom with a strip of recycled tire rubber to keep it from scratching floors. Cleaning up is a piece of cake - simply wipe it down with a wet rag.

Support Impoverished Nepalis - Proceeds from the sale of these products goes to support a non-profit organization focused on providing primary care and community education to thousands of rural Nepalis. This initiative also provides valuable education about non-biodegradable “trash” and the importance of protecting the environment. A favorite Nepal Non-Profit.
